Questions

What is a lithophane?

A thin piece whose thickness changes, so a photo appears when light shines through it. Thick parts show dark and thin parts show light.

How should I print it?

Print in white PLA with 100% infill, standing upright if your printer allows, at a fine layer height. The printing tips in the tool give a starting point.

What does the AI depth option do?

It adds a gentle real relief to the front, so the piece also looks good unlit. It runs in your browser with the Depth Anything V2 Small model.

Can I sell lithophanes made with it?

Yes, sell the lithophanes you print; just don't resell the STL files as templates or design packs.

Do my photos get uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, and your photo stays on your device.
